This workshop will guide you through a series of nurturing postures and movement designed to help you heal from the effects of stress. We will hold a series of relaxing postures for an extended length of time, with some gentle movement in between, allowing your body the opportunity to enjoy the benefits of each pose. Yoga Nidra will be guided during your Savasana.
Yoga Nidra, or yogic sleep, is often defined as a state of deep relaxation. It’s a state in which your conscious and subconscious mind meet. A place where you aren’t quite yet asleep and you’re not yet fully awake. Yoga Nidra activates our parasympathetic nervous system (PNS), which is the part of our brain responsible for stimulating “rest and digest”. When we activate the PNS, we create a space where our body and mind can relax, a space for healing.
